Interconnection // Propojení

(English below)
LANDSCAPE / CONNECTION is not just an art project for me. It’s a way of life. It tells about the relationship to the environment in which   we live and about the care for this relationship. Also about the power of the elements that shape our lives.

In 2018, due to the coincidence of many circumstances, I found myself in Iceland. I didn’t know why or for how long. The coastal village called Vík became my first Icelandic home. The specific microclimate of that place   creates rainy weather more often than in other places. Icelanders said the year was the coldest summer in 100 years. So it rained for three months straight. Temperatures were around 8 degrees Celsius. The usual wind speed was 40 km / h. The buds of the bushes never seemed to show leaves.

The whole nature was basically black and white or in shades of gray. It was very raw and impressive. This had a big impact on my work. Most of the colors are gone. I started using basically only black and white. I found even more fondness in minimalism than before and a lot of freedom. Just like in Icelandic nature. Lots of freedom and a lot of space for inner perception and interpretation.

During my next visit to the Czech Republic, I created an exhibition of Icelandic landscape paintings called NO COMPROMICELAND. This inspired my friend textile designer Jindra Rychlá to collaborate on a new joint project. The original idea has changed many times, as have the usual changes in Icelandic weather.

The relationship to the landscape and all the extremely powerful natural elements, our relationship to the Earth, our connection or disconnection from it, our way of being part of nature again, as it is part of us … these themes led to the performance LANDSCAPE, which is a connection the original concept of fine art with dance, music and spoken expression.

The CONNECTION project continues in this idea. It talks about the basic inner connection with nature, but he also reconnects various artistic fields. It allows us to immerse ourselves deep in emotions. And it pushes us to be here and now.

The LANDSCAPE / INTERCONNECTION is not just an art project for me. It is a way of life. It talks about the relationship to the environment in which we live and about the care for this relationship. It also talks about the power of the elements that shape our lives.

In 2018 I came to Iceland thanks to many coincidences. I didn’t know why or for how long. The coastline village called Vík became my first Icelandic home. The microclimate there creates more rainy weather than in other places. Icelanders had said that year has been   the coldest summer in 100 years. So it was raining three months in a row. All the nature has been basically black and white or gray. It has been very raw and impressive. This influenced my art a lot. Most of colors disappeared. And I started to use basically just black and white. I fell in love with minimalism even more then before and found out there is a lot of liberty in it. As well as it is in Icelandic nature. A lot of freedom and a lot of space for inner perception and interpretation.

When visiting Czech again I have made an exhibition of Icelandic landscape paintings called NO COMPROMICELAND. That impressed my friend textile designer Jindra Rychlá to cooperate in a new project together. The primal idea has changed many times the same way as usual Icelandic weather changes.

The relation to the landscape and all the extremely strong elements, our relationship to Earth, our connection or disconnection with it, our way to find ourselves out again and to be a part of the nature as she is a part of us … this all lead to the performance called LANDSCAPE. Connecting concept visual art with dance, music and spoken expression.

The INTERCONNECTION project continues in this idea. It is talking about that basic inner connection with the nature but also connects different art fields again. It let us dive deeply into the emotions. And pushes us to be present here and now.
